I live in Lawrence, KS, in the Midwestern United States. I graduated from Oberlin College in 2005, with a degree in American Cultural Studies, and I taught and tutored language, art, and math for six years before getting my TESOL certificate from Greystone College in Vancouver, Canada in 2014. I’ve been an online teacher ever since. To me, the best part of teaching is getting to know students from across the world and finding creative ways to teach and learn. I like to spend time with arts, cooking, games, Mandarin, science fiction and mysteries, exercise and healthy living.
I provide intensive, personalized online English lessons to students of intermediate English skills and above. I work with you to develop a course of lessons that meets your individual needs and helps you achieve your goals, whether you want to develop your skills in conversation, practice reading and writing, or study for a test. I use a variety of media, including audio, video, and writing, and make lessons relevant to you by building lesson plans around your interests. I also try to be a resource for students who want to study English on their own. For more information, go to the Lessons page and the Resources page.
